Director of Services

My name is Matthew Leavenworth, and I am the Director of Pay Love Forward. I am a licensed counselor with Yellowstone Counseling Center where I have worked since completing my master's degree at Adams State University. I am currently working through the same school towards my PhD in counselor education and supervision.

I have extensive experience seeing children, families, and adults dealing with a range of disorders, including anxiety, depression, and trauma and use rock climbing as a tool to empower and heal clients.

I have developed the Pay Love Forward mentorship system and am certified in Mentor Coaching and Leadership Development through Grandview University.

I am also an experienced rock climber, having completed multiple multi-day ascents in Yosemite, including El Capitan and Half Dome. I believe in the healing power of climbing, and I also believe in the healing power of healthy, compassionate communities.
